A golden statue on Pont de Bir-Hakeim, facing the Eiffel Tower. Most tourists walk right past it. The Tower frames behind you, the position is elevated, and at sunrise there is almost no one around.
I shoot from below, angled upward. The Tower rises behind you with the statue beside you. Best at sunrise or golden hour.
The most cinematic bridge in Paris. Steel columns create leading lines straight to the Eiffel Tower. The lower walkway is sheltered, photogenic, and the columns frame you perfectly.
At sunrise, this bridge is nearly empty. By mid-morning, it fills with tourists. Timing matters here more than anywhere else.
The banks of the Seine near the Eiffel Tower. The lower quay puts you at water level with the Tower rising above the tree line. Light reflects off the river.
The stretch between Pont de l’Alma and Pont d’Iéna has quiet alcoves where you can be alone even in peak season. Best at sunset when the river turns gold.
A short, quiet street in the 16th arrondissement with a direct, unobstructed view of the Eiffel Tower. One of the best-kept secrets for proposals in Paris. No crowds, no competition for space.
Limestone facades and wrought-iron balconies on both sides. The Tower sits right between the buildings. Guaranteed privacy.
Directly across the Seine from the Tower. Wide stone steps leading down to the water. The closest and most direct perspective you can get.
The Tower dominates the frame at this distance. The steps work as a natural stage. Particularly striking after dark when the Tower lights up.
A different perspective from the lower walkway. Elevated above the Seine with an open skyline. The Tower sits to the side, creating a more editorial feel.
The metro passes overhead, steel arches create graphic patterns, and the wide walkway gives me multiple angles. More urban, more cinematic. Best at golden hour.
The only location outside central Paris, 40 minutes east by train. For the right couple, nothing compares. The castle creates a backdrop you cannot get anywhere else.
Best during the first hour after park opening. If your partner has always dreamed of a fairy-tale moment, this is the one.
Sixth arrondissement, Left Bank. No Eiffel Tower in sight. Instead: the Luxembourg Palace, manicured lawns, classical fountains, and tree-lined paths that feel like a private estate.
The Médicis Fountain area is ideal for proposals. Shaded, romantic, the long reflecting pool creates a natural aisle. The garden opens at sunrise and is nearly empty for the first hour.
A residential street in the 7th arrondissement. The Eiffel Tower framed between two rows of Haussmann buildings. Cobblestones, balconies, the Tower straight ahead. The most Parisian composition there is.
Best at sunrise when there are no parked cars and the light hits the facades directly.
Between the Louvre and Place de la Concorde. Geometric paths, sculptured hedges, the octagonal fountain. Everything is composed.
The large round fountain on the western end places the Louvre in the background. Tuileries works for couples who want a classic Paris aesthetic without the Eiffel Tower.
Seventh arrondissement, five minutes from Les Invalides. Classical sculptures, rose gardens, and a direct view of the Eiffel Tower from the back terrace. Entry ticket required (€13 per person).
Limited visitors mean a controlled environment. Proposals near The Thinker or along the rose garden paths combine art, nature, and a distant view of the Tower. Best on weekday mornings.
Sunrise or golden hour. Fewer people, better light. The exact timing is planned based on season and location.
If it rains, the session is rescheduled for free. No questions asked. Your proposal deserves the right conditions.
