Gallery link first, social posts second, full-resolution files saved for print
Send your Paris gallery link to family and friends privately first, post a short edited selection to social media second, and keep the full-resolution files for printing. That order keeps the best quality where it matters and gives you control over who sees what, and when.
This guide covers what you receive after a session, how to pick images for Instagram and messaging apps, how to handle location tags and privacy, and how to post Eiffel Tower night photos. It is for couples, families and solo travellers who want their Paris photos shared properly, without losing quality or giving away a surprise.
You receive an online gallery within 24 hours of your session, with every image edited by me and delivered as a high-resolution digital file. Every package includes a print licence, so the same files you post online can also go on your wall. The files are yours to share or keep private.
The number of images depends on the package. Essential is 1 hour with 30 photos at 1 location. Signature is 2 hours with 50 photos at 2 locations, and it is the most popular. Prestige is 3 hours with 60 photos at 3 locations. The Proposal session is 1 hour with hidden camera coverage. The Night Session is €450.
Because the gallery arrives within 24 hours, you can start sharing while you are still in Paris. You do not have to wait until you are home to choose your favourites.
TipDownload the whole gallery once and store it in two places before you start posting.
| Package | Price | Duration | Photos | Locations |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | €300 | 1 hour | 30 photos | 1 location |
| Signature | €500 | 2 hours | 50 photos | 2 locations |
| Prestige | €800 | 3 hours | 60 photos | 3 locations |
Share in this order: private link to the people closest to you, a short selection on social media, then prints. Family usually wants to see everything, while your followers only need the frames that tell the story of the day.
"I tell clients to send the full gallery to family first, then choose a handful of frames for Instagram, one wide, one close, one in motion," Finzi says. A wide frame shows the location, a close frame shows the connection between you, and a moving frame shows the mood of the walk. That mix reads well when someone scrolls past quickly.
Save printing for last. Pick the two or three images you keep returning to, and print from the original high-resolution files, not from a copy you saved from a chat or a social post.
Start with a wide frame where the landmark or street is clear, then follow with closer portraits. Posting a mix of distances in one post keeps people swiping, and it shows both Paris and the people in it. If you shot at more than one location, lead with the most recognisable one.
For captions, name the place plainly: Trocadero, Pont de Bir-Hakeim, Luxembourg Gardens. The official Paris tourist office,Paris je t'aime, publishes Paris photos on its Instagram account every day and invites people from all over the world to share their own under the hashtag #parisjetaime. Using that tag puts your photos in the same stream the tourist office draws from.
Keep the post consistent. Photos from one session were edited together, so they already match in tone. Do not add a heavy filter on top, because it will fight with the colour and light I set in editing.
TipPost a close portrait first if your audience already knows you were in Paris. Post a wide frame first if you want the location to do the talking.
Tag the landmark, not your hotel. A location tag at the Eiffel Tower or on a bridge tells followers where the photo was taken without showing where you are staying. If your account is public, check who can see your posts before you upload photos of children, and consider a private account or a close-friends list for family sessions.
For proposals, hold every post until the person you proposed to has told their own family. A tagged story or a pre-trip caption can give the day away. I work with hidden camera coverage, so the surprise only holds if the plan stays off social media. "I ask proposal clients to keep the date, the place and the time off every platform until it is done," Finzi says.
Posting live while you are still travelling also tells people your home is empty. Many travellers post a day or two later, or after they are back, and still get the same response.
Night photos at the Tower have two looks, and your caption should say which one you chose. The official operator describes the lighting in two parts, and says the Tower "sparkles for 5 minutes every hour on the hour" on its Eiffel Tower illuminations page. The golden lighting and beacon switch on at nightfall by sensor, which the operator says takes under ten minutes.
That means a frame with the sparkle is only possible for a short window each hour, and the first one depends on that day's sunset. A frame in the steady golden light is available the rest of the evening. Both work online, and the sparkle frame usually gets more reaction because it looks different from a daytime shot.
If a night image is what you want to share, the Night Session is €450. Book it after your main session or as its own booking, and I plan the timing around the sparkle.
TipCheck the sunset time for your date. It tells you roughly when the first sparkle of the night will happen.
Treat the gallery download as your master copy and never edit or overwrite it. For posting, make a smaller copy. Social platforms and messaging apps often compress what you upload, so a copy that has already been compressed once looks worse than the original.
For family back home, send the gallery link instead of attaching images to a chat. They can view and download the full set at the quality it was delivered in. For a group chat, send your favourites as a small batch and share the link separately.
Use the print licence. If you want a framed image or a photo book, order from the original file. A photo that looks sharp on a phone screen can look soft once printed if it came from a compressed copy.
Yes, you can post while you are still in Paris, because the gallery is delivered within 24 hours of your session. A morning session means you may have your favourites that same evening or the next morning, with time left in the trip to react to the response.
A practical split works well. Post one frame during the trip so family sees you are enjoying it, then post the full selection when you are home and have chosen without pressure. This also lets you pick the frames you like best rather than the first ones you open.
If you are travelling as a couple or family, agree before the trip on who can post and what stays private. It saves an awkward conversation later about a photo someone did not want online.
TipSchedule your session early in the trip so the gallery arrives while you still have days left in Paris.
I recommend booking at least 2-4 weeks in advance, especially during peak season from April to October. I shoot at over 30 locations across Paris, and I choose them based on your vision and the light at the time of day you prefer. Tell me if the photos are going to be shared widely, and I will build a set with wide frames, close portraits and moving frames.
A €30 non-refundable deposit locks your date, and rescheduling is free anytime. Sessions involve walking 3-5 km, so plan comfortable shoes and layers. Pick a session. Choose a date. I handle the rest.
Quick answers to the questions visitors ask before they book.
“Finzi made our whole family feel so comfortable. Even our two-year-old was laughing the entire time. The photos are absolutely perfect and we received them the next day.”
